Project III Reflection

I really liked this project. It was by far my favorite one because I had to write about an actual issue. It left a lot of room for creativity and my personal opinions, unlike the other two projects. I felt like this one was a bit easier because of the wide variety of choices. I was able to pick something I truly cared about and present it to my classmates. That made the essay easier to write. There were less chances for writer's block. This project was also very interesting and it made the research portion a fun task instead of tedious work.
But this project was also quite difficult because it was a combination of everything we have learned throughout this semester. I used Rogerian Argument as well as Ethos, Pathos and Logos to present my topic. The combination of the skills and the presentation of the issue in a professional manner was what made the project more difficult than the previous two. Also, trying to find a solution to the issue and actually doing the "action" was difficult. Most of us are aware of these issues but we don't do anything about it. This project pushed us into doing something. But seeing as how we picked topics we cared about, the action portion shouldn't have been too hard.
I learned a lot during the course of this project. Researching about my topic has taught me a lot about animals, factory farms, and the results of contaminated food. Listening to the presentations of my classmates has also taught me a lot about the issues present in our society. I am definitely more informed than before the start of this project. That was another thing I liked about project III. We were able to learn from each other and teach each other about important issues. Spreading the word is definitely the best way to help.
